I attended Day One of PodCamp Toronto 2012 yesterday. PodCamp is a two day gathering of New Media professionals and users. I went to get some insights on how to help promote both Provocative Penguin and my own endeavors, whether that be Movable Hype or my art.
Most people in the sessions if they took notes at all, did so on iPads or on NetBooks. My Learning Style and dyslexia means that if I truly want to retain any information in an audio/visual experience I need to use my hands, be tactile. I have to take notes, and not just written words but I have to draw as well.
I live Tweeted/Instagramed my sketchs during the day, and people seemed to like them, so I’m sharing the scans here. Don’t pay too much mind to the actual notes, they’re simplistic and often misspelled, but this is how I learn.
